28/29 week update

Sorry for the delay in this update. Times are crazy around the Kluemper household. I had my 28 week Dr's appointment last Thursday. I began with a 100g carb fruit punch beverage for my glucose tolerance test. It was a bit of a struggle to get it down in 5 minutes, but baby K seemed to enjoy the sugar rush. (The doctor's office called yesterday, and I passed with a glucose of 124 and my hemoglobin is doing well at 13. These results mean no gestational diabetes or anemia for this pregnancy). Next, I had my follow-up ultrasound for my placenta. It is sitting beautifully in a high position in the back which is what they hoped would happen. My mom accompanied me so she was able to see him live and in person. He is measuring right on track, 2lb 11oz, still has his boy bits, and all his organs appear to be developing normally. Here is a profile picture from the ultrasound.

The ultrasound tech attempted to get a 3D picture of his face, but he wasn't really cooperating. His head is already down and in my pelvis. It looks a little halloween-ish, but he definitely has some of his father's features.

Matt's parents came up to Indy on Friday to see Kansas, Styx, and Foreigner in concert. We tagged along and enjoyed the show. Our seats were pretty close and under the pavilion so the sun wasn't on us, and I was able to keep cool. Baby K seemed to enjoy the Kansas show the most, he bounced around the most while they were on stage. Thanks for inviting us, we enjoyed ourselves!

I'm a little behind on belly shots because we finally started the reorganization of the house this past weekend. Our "to do" list included emptying the office for the nursery, converting the spare bedroom into a bedroom/office, and rearranging the furniture in our room to make space for the crib. Matt and I worked on organizing Saturday, and my dad came over Sunday to help Matt with the furniture. We can finally say we have started getting ready for baby K's arrival. Thanks to my dad for helping us, he went above the call of duty (petrified mouse discovery), and my mom for bringing all of us lunch!

29 week belly shot

There's been a lot of growth since Florida!

The new bedroom/office

A little cramped, but it accomplishes what we wanted.

A preview of the new furniture and a before picture of the nursery.

(The walls will not be staying this color.)

Matt and I are headed to Jasper this weekend for the 4th. We are headed to the Krodel cabin on Saturday and the Troesch's house Sunday. Looking forward to seeing both sides of the family!!
