New Videos...

Standing on my own

A few weeks later, I'm walking

So Mommy found this video on the camera, she thinks daddy and I must have been jamming while she was at work one night. (It's sideways, but too cute to not post!)

Spaghetti!

Reece got his first taste of spaghetti recently. As you can tell he loved it!! It was the most hilarious thing to watch, he was just shoveling it in and sucking the noodles down. Sounded just like Papa (Gpa Krodel) while he was eating ;)

Look what I can do!

Reece started standing on his own a week or two after 10 months. He only needed a few days, and he started taking steps. It amazes me how quickly they learn to do things. It's like he went from standing, to steps, to walking all over the house in one week. His new nickname is "destruction" because he looks for anything and everything he can get into. He loves to carry toys, bibs, cups, etc. all over the house.

10 months!

So I've had this post waiting to be edited for about a month... I wish I'd been better about updating more timely because now I can't hardly remember what he was up to last month. The photo shoot was a bit of a challenge, one, because he hardly ever is not moving, and he refuses to keep a hat on his head. He has begun using more words: "ball", "da"(daddy), "hi". He recognizes many more words: "bottle", "night, night", "outside". His first birthday is fast approaching and I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by and how much our lives have changed.

My first trip to Mexico!

We took Reece on his first vacation to beautiful Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The first Matt in mommy's life had a destination wedding. It was a wonderful vacation spent with friends. Reece was a social butterfly and enjoyed all the attention.

Can you tell how much I enjoyed my first experience on a boat?
Luckily, my buddy Andy saved me ;)!

At least it made for an easier trip home for mom and dad.

Baptism

Being the bad parents that we are, we didn't have Reece baptized until he was 5 1/2 months. He was very well behaved and even provided a few laughs.

Go Hoosiers!!

Reece is becoming quite the IU fan, just like his daddy! (Please ignore the off-key singing in the background)

Teeth!

Reece cut two of his bottom teeth recently. We didn't even know the first one was coming in until he bit my finger one day. The second came a few days later, and it seemed to bother him more, just a little more fussiness than usual. The drooling and chewing on anything he can get his hands on continues...

Babbles and Giggles

Our little man is quite the vocal baby. He loves chatting and giggling during the day. Hope the videos bring a smile to your day.

5 months!

I can't believe how time is flying! Reece is changing and growing everyday; developing his own personality. He's still a very easy going, happy, and smiley baby. He has given up his early morning feeding and is sleeping 10-11 hours at night. Mom and dad are enjoying the extra sleep! Hope you enjoy all the new posts!

1st taste of rice cereal

Reece had his first taste of rice cereal a couple weeks ago. I don't think he quite knew what we were up to. He is getting better at it, and we've moved on to oatmeal and trying twice a day. Just a few more weeks, and we'll be starting solids. I hope to make most of Reece's baby food so that should be interesting. Enjoy the video and a few snapshots of the big milestone!

4 months...just a little late!!

Reece is getting so big, growing too fast, but I guess that's how things go. His stats from his Dr's appointment were 14lbs 2oz (36%), 25in long (55%), and 16.5in (44%) OFC. Look's like we may not have a shrimp on our hands after all. He is becoming very active, loves playing with his hands and putting them in his mouth, working on finding his thumb, going between 8-9 hours between feedings at night, and loves smiling for anyone who will talk to him. Enjoy the new pictures!

I was being a little fussy one night so dad thought he would try the sink.
Apparently, it was comfortable because I was quiet for a few minutes.

Dad loves to let me taste things I shouldn't!
On this night it was some purple candy.

Trisha & Nick's Wedding

Reece got to attend his first wedding in January. My good friend Trisha got married (finally!, her words, not mine). He did great with his first church experience, enjoyed all the attention from Gma and Gpa Krodel, but wasn't too sure about the loud music. He also had his first night away from mommy & daddy. He of course did great, but mommy wished she had taken advantage of the opportunity for extra sleep. Congratulations Trisha & Nick! We had a great time, and the bride was gorgeous!!

Enjoying the view from Gpa Krodel's arms
